The sample itinerary below showcases a classic 4-day luxury safari. Please note that final prices vary by month and season: July to October is peak season, while April to mid-June offers lower rates.
A Sample Luxury Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Start of your Safari from Nairobi for your luxury masai mara safari
Your private Driver/Guide will meet you at your hotel for an 8 AM departure. Enjoy a scenic drive, descending the Great Rift Valley and continuing towards the Masai Mara. You will travel in your own private 4×4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle, ensuring a personalized experience. A brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint offers breathtaking views. Arrive at your luxury camp in time for a delicious lunch. Your first afternoon game drive begins at 3:30 PM, where your expert guide will strive to show you not just the famous “Big Five,” but also the more elusive “Big Nine.” Return to your tented camp at 6:30 PM for a gourmet dinner and an overnight stay at the renowned Governor’s Camp.
Day 2: A Full Day of Exploration in the Masai Mara luxury safari
Today offers two exceptional game drives: a morning session from 6:15 AM to 9 AM before breakfast, and another in the late afternoon from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. As this is your private safari, your game drive timings are flexible, a perfect feature for families with children or honeymooners seeking privacy. Alternatively, you may choose to embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch at no extra charge—an ideal way to explore the vast savannah.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and another night of luxury at Governor’s Camp.
Day 3: Another Full Day of Safari Adventure luxury safari
Your third day mirrors the flexibility of the second, with two game drives—one before breakfast and one in the afternoon. To enhance your experience, you can also add a cultural visit to a Maasai Village or a breathtaking Hot Air Balloon ride over the plains (these are optional activities at an additional cost).
Conclude your day with a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay at Governor’s Camp.
Day 4: Returning to Nairobi on your final day of your luxury safari
After a final refreshing breakfast, check out by 8:30 AM. Begin your return road transfer to Nairobi, which includes a brief morning game drive en route as you exit the park by 10 AM. Arrive in Nairobi by afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or transported to the airport for your onward journey.
