Most of the time, when a traveller lands in Nairobi, he/she may have a day or a few hours for a layover before they start their safari or board their plane. During this time, they can be able to visit some of the tourist centres or scenery in Nairobi City. Nairobi City can offer various city tours to: David Sheldrick Elephant Animal Orphanage, Giraffe Centre. You also get to see some of Nairobi’s best sights, including the panoramic view of the city from above Uhuru Park.

You can also combine the city tour with Nairobi National Park or visit the Karen Blixen Museum.

Itinerary

Elephant Orphanage

Our driver collects you from your hotel at 9:00 AM for a transfer to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Elephant nursery for the viewing of baby Elephants as they’re fed, and you can also see them being playful. This is, of course, in an open exhibition where visitors are free to watch closely and take photos.

Giraffe Centre

At 12:00 PM, you will then proceed to the Giraffe Centre, where you will spend about an hour watching and interacting with the giraffes. You can be able to touch, feed, and even feel the gentle animals. Visitors are free to watch closely and take photos.

At 1:30 PM, you will be transferred to the Nairobi Carnivore restaurant or a nearby preferred restaurant for lunch( at your own cost). After lunch, you can proceed for some more sightseeing or last-minute shopping in the local traditional African art & craft souvenir market. You will then be dropped off back to your hotel by 4:30 PM or even at your preferred drop-off location.

• Entry Fees to Elephant Orphanage & Giraffe centre of $15 per person, each site. Payable by yourself directly upon entry to the sites during the tour.
